From Jiang Zhi's "Plato and his Seven Spirits" series.

Something about this photo seems really musical to me, or maybe post-Cagian, like everyone is really tuned in to the white noise of the waves and the squeals of surf-loving swimmers. Then there's the rainbow, which seems very No Age for some reason. I suppose it is somehow the manifestation collective unhindered glee - maybe that's it, that the rainbow is the vision but I see the rainbow as a sound, a hopeful sound. This is no Jaws scene.
