Quiet Riot shreds for metal health

Jody Rosen wrote a lovely little elegy for Kevin DuBrow, the lead singer of Quiet Riot, and included this stripes meets animal prints uptown live 1983 video as evidence of the band's born-full-grown pop metal awesomeness. Quiet Riot is clearly enough the next candidate for the youtube parodist StSanders to make into an absurd shred video. The great thing to me about these videos is how the person imagined absense and strictly refused to acknowledge non-diagetic musical elements. It's like someone's in the studio muting all the parts until they appear on screen. Maybe it's just more on my radar but it seems like most of the best musical parodies I watch on YouTube are for/about metal.
